Midwifery Care
 Certified nurse midwives are nurse practitioners who specialize in women’s healthcare, pregnancy,
and childbirth.
Our nurse-midwives can provide all of the necessary services for women experiencing a normal pregnancy.
They can write prescriptions for medications and have hospital admitting privileges. All of our nurse-midwives are nationally
certified and licensed to practice. Although the nurse-midwives work independently, our physician is always available
for consultation when necessary.
Nurse-midwives provide all aspects of women’s health care. From puberty through menopause, birth
control, physical exams, and gynecologic problems your nurse-midwife is there for you.
Nurse-midwives focus on promoting and maintaining wellness. They enjoy providing education and information
to women about their health and healthcare. Typically office appointments are a bit longer with a nurse-midwife, so
there is plenty of time to answer your questions.
Nurse-midwives support women’s choices. Whether you want to have your baby with an epidural
or without medications, or even in the water, whatever you decide is right for you, your nurse-midwife is there to provide
information and support.
We want you to be comfortable. Whether you are coming in for your first gynecologic exam or having
your fifth baby, we want to provide you with caring, individualized attention.
